Welcome to the School
*** 8th January. Happy birthday to The Deborah Coultish School of Dance. 10 years old. ***
We are a dance school based in Leeds and Wakefield. We started back in January 2000, as The Deborah Coultish School of Ballet, on a very
cold Saturday morning, with eight pupils, at East Ardsley. Since then we have grown to around 250 pupils
divided between Alwoodley, Drighlington, East Ardsley and Morley.
We
provide tuition to children from age 1 (turn 2 in the academic
year) and adults in ballet, tap, modern dance, theatre craft, cheer dance, aerobics/keep fit, musical
theatre and street dance. Our aim is to provide quality
tuition whilst maintaining a fun and secure atmosphere where students
can enjoy learning a new skill in a friendly environment. Students are
given every opportunity to perform in School shows and audition for
external productions, but those who chose not to are not discriminated
against. Career or fun - your choice.We follow the Royal Academy of Dance's syllabus in ballet and the International Dance Teacher Association's syllabus in Tap & Theatre Craft / Modern
